Nowhere Fans

Beatles star Sir Paul McCartney has apparently snubbed a plea for help from a museum dedicated to the Fab Four in the German city where they first became stars.

Staff at the Beatlemania museum - which charts the band's roots - had created a six minute YouTube video asking Sir Paul to help save them from closing.

Under a soundtrack of Beatles hits like 'With a Little Help From My Friends' and 'Don't Let Me Down' staff pour out their hearts in perfect English about what the museum means to them.

One blonde museum guide begs the ex Beatle: "You have been here, you have walked these streets. You played one of your first concerts right around the corner and I know this must mean something to you.

"So please if you see any possibility to support us, or you know someone who might be interested in keeping this unique museum alive, please contact us."

But weeks after uploading the appeal, staff say they've heard nothing from Sir Paul - and will be shutting up shop within days.

Museum chairman Folkert Koopmans said: "It was a nice gesture from our staff but it will not change anything at all."
