A third of Germans have sex only in the dark
Nudist-loving Germans only have sex in the dark.
According to a new survey, a third of our Teutonic neighbours admit to only getting it on with their partner if the lights are out.
This comes as a surprise as the Germans are well known for their love of nudist beaches and naked saunas.
A study by health website www.apotheken-umschau.de found that 29.8 per cent of the 1,295 people surveyed only have sex in the dark. The older the couples got, the more body-conscious they became with a whopping 43.9 per cent of over 60s only making love under the cover of darkness.
Speaking about the findings, sex-therapist Ulrike Zoech said: "It is surprisiing as Germans are usually so comfortable with their bodies.
"There is of course nothing wrong with making love in the dark, but allowing a little light into the room means you can look into each other's eyes and perhaps be a little more daring under the sheets."
