German Nasties

Fed up Germans have had enough of their image of a nation of hard-working, rule obeying goody-goodies, a new study has revealed.

The survey - by market analysts Rheingold - shows 73 per cent of those asked say that the German ideal of being honest, punctual, and industrious is just a myth.

In real life, says the study, Germans are secretly much more ruthless and nasty.

Study head Jens Lonneker, said: "Germans are developing in relation to their nation a type of double life. The gap between the public image of Germany and the private lives of Germans is huge."
