Rail Drunk

A drunk driver who went to pick up a pal at the local train station and ended up on the tracks has told police his satnav was to blame and not his boozing.

Martin Schneider, 21, drove straight onto the platform in Munster, Germany, before toppling over onto the tracks.

But when he called police to warn them to halt trains on the line, they breath-tested him and found him over the drink drive limit.

"It isn't fair. I'd been drinking but I wasn't drunk," said Schneider.

"I was only following the satnav's instructions and I ended up on the tracks," he added.
