Batman won't be happy
with Batgirl after finding she had the batmobile confiscated by German police.
Batgirl, unmasked as British girl Abigail Crawford, 35, from Buckinghamshire,
had decided to drive the batmobile to Europe but was stopped at the
Nuerburgring race track. The trip had been organised to raise cash for charity
and as a farewell tribute to a dead pal.
German police stopped the batmobile, a modified black Ford, because the welded
on batmobile modifications were a danger to other road users.
A police spokesman said: "She was allowed to continue on her way after the
modifications were removed. They could have beheaded a pedestrian if they had
been in a collision or flown off if the car went fast.
"She said next time round she'd make sure her batmobile had the flying
modification added so she could avoid trouble with traffic police."
Police said the trip was dedicated to murdered High Wycombe man Jourdan
Griffiths who was stabbed to death.
After the batmobile had been returned to a norm acceptable to German traffic
laws - it was allowed to continue on to Prague.
